I lived a complacent life, seeing messaging as a “creative” endeavor.
But in fact, messaging & comms require as much rigor & realness, as the product.
We can’t work on messaging without thinking in terms of baseline variation, metric trees, and levers.
Here’s what I learned along the way ...
A messaging framework that works brilliantly in Company A can become a pragmatic limit in Company B.
Every company has its own constraints, like product architecture, sales dynamics, buyer sophistication, internal politics.
What works as leverage in one company might create confusion or rigidity in another.
That’s why messaging work can’t rely on templates or frameworks.
It needs to be grounded in how the company actually operates and where it stands in terms of metrics.
And that‘s the kind of work I do ...
I identify the real messaging levers within a company’s structure, create metric trees around them, and implement them.
